NURSERY TOUR: Emily Maynard's Sophisticated Nursery for her Baby Boy
Any Bachelorette fans out there? If you're one of them, then this mama needs no introduction! Emily Maynard from Bachelorette Season 8 just had her 3rd child a few months ago -- a precious baby boy named Gibson. Style Me Living shared his sophisticated, simple, and chic nursery, and the inspiration behind it.
Emily worked with Oilo to create a non-traditional nursery that she "hadn't seen on Pinterest a million times already." And since her and her husband opted to keep the gender of their baby a surprise, they went with a gender neutral color scheme of black and white with touches of gold.
The black and white abstract painting above the crib really sets the tone for this space. When we're used to seeing animal art prints on the wall in nurseries, this modern piece of art is refreshing and oh so welcomed!
The only thing I'm not a fan of in nurseries is sheepskin rugs -- they shed. Babies hands are like lint traps, so when your baby is doing tummy time or playing with their toys, you better believe the sheepskin fur will get stuck in between their fingers and then end up in their mouth because babies put EVERYTHING in their mouth including their hands.
What do you think mamas? Do you like the departure from babyish looking nurseries?
